Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
I started my BJJ journey over a year ago and can now say I’m fully emersed in this “gentle art”.
Being a chartered Physiotherapist I have been somewhat amazed by the number of injuries, aches, pains and niggles people have whilst taking part in this growing sport.
My mission is to help people get and stay fighting fit for BJJ and reduce (you can’t guarantee) the risk of getting injured, through a series of conditioning exercises and programmes.
“Don’t use BJJ to condition yourself, condition yourself for BJJ, reducing the risk of injury, becoming stronger, fitter and faster”
What is the process?
If you have a specific injury, during the initial assessment a past and present medical history is taken. This is followed by a physical examination.
If your goal is to reduce the risk of getting injured an initial assessment will be carried out as above, set goals and educate you on the best ways to condition yourself for BJJ whilst reducing the risk of getting injured.
What do you offer?

Tailored programming and advice with Jiu-Jitsu in mind to become fitter, faster and stronger.
